Who holds the money?
The founder, Mohammed M. Islam, collects the money and pays taxes on it as personal income. We are working to replace this peer-to-peer transaction. He will distribute it to the mothers monthly after receiving the receipt for what they did with the prior month’s money.
Are our contributions tax-deductible?
Not yet. We are still working on our 501(c)(3) non-profit status. You may consider this as part of your yearly Zakat
